Private Functions
Waverley Golf Club prides itself with providing caring and professional service whatever the occasion. We offer a multi faceted venue surrounded by a tranquil garden setting, with panoramic views of the golf course from each function area. A major advantage the facility has is that it is very adaptable to group sizes, with the use of sliding operable walls. This feature together with a vast selection of catering styles and menus provides a host of options when tailoring each function to a client's individual requirements. The facility is also very practical being completely on ground floor level, with ample car parking available on-site.
Waverley Golf Club is the perfect venue for every occasion. From a conference, trade launch, meeting or seminar to a cocktail party, dinner dance or formal dinner we have a menu range to suit all situations. Our 100 lounge arm chairs, 150 banquet chairs and good supply of round or rectangle function tables ensures that we have the space and capacity to seat functions up to 250. All three of the function rooms can combine with the sound system projecting through each zone. The floor to ceiling glass walls offer mirrored privacy and uninterrupted views at the same time. By night the glass polarizes, creating the reverse effect and the feeling of more space and extra feature lighting.
Anderson Room
The Anderson Room has a separate entrance, bar and restroom facility and offers privacy with mirrored glass. The course outlook can be illuminated at night, with dimmed lighting to ensure your guests are comfortable to enjoy a meal or meet for drinks in a cocktail reception environment.
Capacity of the room by itself would allow 70 guests to dine on round tables of ten, 30 guests on a long and formal banquet table and up to 40 in a u-shape suited to a dinner with a formal presentation. 80 guests would be comfortable in a cocktail party setting, but with strategic placement of furniture groups as low as 30 would not feel out of place.
Bermuda Room
The adjoining Bermuda Room can extend the Anderson Room or be used by itself for intimate dinners of up to 20 guests on a formal banquet table or 30 guests on round tables. When combined with the Anderson Room, 100+ guests can be seated on round tables and cocktail parties are accommodated for up to 120 guests. The Bermuda Room then becomes the ideal space for our dance floor with fairy lights above. Your entertainer can add to the level of ambience with creative lighting and the Anderson lights can be set at the desired level to create the mood. This room has the added use of a built-in data projector to combine with a laptop or DVD player to display a feature presentation or digital slide show.
Members Lounge
Our largest room is the Members Lounge area with a full length bar along one side and is capable of seating up to 100 guests. When combined with the Bermuda Room larger cocktail functions of up to 150 guests can be comfortably catered for. Bigger groups would then require the Anderson Room as well. An elevated focal point can be achieved with our portable stage in the Bermuda Room corner, allowing for formal presentations or indeed a band to entertain you at the edge of the sturdy floating dance floor. All other features of the Bermuda Room can enhance presentations with the data projector having the ability to swivel into the desired direction.
