For any sports loving person your needs are catered for, whether as a social player or competitive player, but you need to start somewhere, for more information contact someone from the Membership Committee or our Coaching Panel and ask to be introduced to the game.
We offer free coaching on Mondays between 9:30 am and 11.00am; between 2:00 and 3:30 pm; and on Thursdays between 2:30 and 3:30 pm, (with bowls supplied if necessary) We also offer free coaching during "Thursday Night Bowls" from 7.00pm to 9.00pm (during daylight saving). Coaching may be arranged at other times by mutual agreement. These provide opportunities for new bowlers to learn the game and gain experience in a fun, non-competitive environment. You do not need any bowls - we will supply those and you don't even need special bowls shoes, flat-soled shoes or bowl barefoot if you want!
We are only a small club by comparison with some other clubs in the area, but we do offer considerable benefits that are the envy of many other clubs:
For those that have more than the basic skills, and/or for those looking for a more competitive environment, there are Friday Afternoon Recovery Tournaments, Wednesday afternoon Triples, and after the pennant season concludes, Saturday afternoon mixed, together with special Sunday events. If the competitive juices are even greater, the Pennant competition running from October to March provides even further opportunities on a regular basis.
If you need any further information do not hesitate to contact someone from the "Membership Committee", or our Coaching Panel. Or pick up a "New Members Pack" from the Office. This pack contains all the basic information that a new bowler might need. You will find that it is all very easy and you will be made most welcome.
Lawn Bowls is a game for all ages, which offers a challenge at a level of your own choosing. Try it ? you will become hooked on a game that is enjoyed by over 300,000 Australians and played world wide, by people of all ages.
